Errol Sibiya
Partner
Errol was born in Witbank, Mpumalanga, where he matriculated from Ekulindeni High School. He completed in 1998 a B Proc degree at the University of Durban-Westville and then graduated in 1999 with a LLB degree.
In December 2000, Errol completed a 6 month course at the Law Society’s School for Practical Legal Training. He commenced his Articles of Clerkship in January 2001 and was admitted as an attorney in June 2002.
In May 2004, Errol joined Livingston Leandy Inc. as an associate and in 2005 he was appointed a director.
In January 2012, he joined Berkowitz Cohen Wartski as a Partner, specialising in administrative law and local government work, Road Accident Fund litigation, medical negligence litigation, and claims against the State for, inter alia, unlawful arrest and detention.
In his spare time, Errol enjoys going to gym, watching movies and socialising with friends. He and his wife, Brenda, have 2 children, Nomcebo and Sphiwo.

Jonathan Mazoue
Partner
Jonathan attended Glenwood High School where he matriculated in 2004. He completed an LLB Degree at UKZN in 2008. During his studies at UKZN, Jonathan was appointed President of the Law Students Council.
Jonathan completed his articles of clerkship at Berkowitz Cohen Wartski Attorneys in 2010, during which period he completed a post graduate diploma in Forensic Investigation at UKZN.
In 2011, Jonathan opened up his own practice under the name and style, Hunter Mazoue, where he practised until 2013.
Jonathan returned to Berkowitz Cohen Wartski Attorneys in April 2013 as a Partner, specialising in Road Accident Fund Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation, General Civil Litigation and Commercial Litigation. In 2017 Jonathan enrolled for his MBA studies through Henley Business School and successfully completed his studies with merit in 2020.

Ameeta Nundlall
Senior Associate
Ameeta matriculated in 1985. She held the post of Head Girl of her school. She has B Proc Degree. In 2000 she joined her present law firm, Berkowitz Cohen Wartski. She was assigned to the senior partner, Kenneth Augustus Cohen and they have been heading the MVA Department. She has gained extensive experience in the area of personal injury and has successfully litigated in numerous matters. In 2006 she was admitted as a Conveyancer. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Deceased Estates.
She is busy with her Master’s Degree having successfully completed a Master’s course in Advanced Third Party Compensation Law, Banking Law and Insurance Law.
Her other areas of experience are drafting of wills, administration of deceased estates, curatorships and divorces.
She is the secretary of KAPIL (KwaZulu Natal Personal Injury Lawyers Association)
She enjoys travelling, hiking, running, movies, cooking, keeping up to date with cricket and keeping fit.

Chantel Meyfarth
Senior Associate
Chantel obtained a LLB and LLM in Medical Law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2010 and 2011, respectively. While studying, Chantel was on the Deans Merit list as well as a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
She joined Berkowitz Cohen Wartski in 2013 as a Candidate Attorney. In 2016, Chantel was appointed as an Associate, specialising in Personal Injury Litigation (with a particular focus on medical negligence, slip and fall claims as well as dog bite claims), General Civil Litigation, Commercial Debt recovery as well as maritime law.
Despite her post-graduate studies being focused on the field of medical law, she has obtained extensive experience in the area of maritime law since 2017, by offering comprehensive legal services across a range of maritime issues, from complex litigation to advisory services, to key role players in the maritime industry.

Msizi Dube
Associate
Msizi Dube graduated with an LL.B. from the University of the Free State and is an admitted attorney with high court right of appearance. Msizi has keen interest in personal injury litigation, medical negligence, minister of police related matters and administrative law. Msizi joined the firm in 2019 as a candidate attorney and remained at the firm as an associate from 2021.

Mpumelelo Jula

Mpumelelo Jula is a dynamic and skilled attorney, having obtained his LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban campus, in 2018. He completed his articles and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2021, demonstrating an early commitment to the legal profession.
